This is a short story of how I first heard of the band known as Weekend Nachos.
I went over to a friend’s house where my good ole pal Battle was staying. In almost a Heroin Bob like way he told me “Mike forget everything you know about music and listen to this”. The this he was referring to was the “Worthless” album by Weekend Nachos. We put the record on the turntable and listened to it while we discussed like congressman the current problems of our youth. “Worthless” was my first exposure to power violence and it was a great welcoming committee. That was the day I became a Weekend Nachos fan. Fast forward to September 6th at the Beat Kitchen I had to chance to talk with John Hoffman the lead singer of Weekend Nachos. Chicago Punk Rock Radio also filmed the Nachos 10th anniversary set as well as the other bands that played. Enjoy!
